Dear Colleagues,

Teaching and assessment methods always transform over time according to the context of teaching media development and educational innovation. In the current situation of the rapidly developing ICT media, learning styles and teaching methods, educational assessment and testing should be innovated and developed to satisfy these changes. Therefore, assessment and testing are rich lands that are attracting many researchers all over the world today. Assessment and testing is to promote a better understanding of and reasoned debate on assessment, testing, and related issues of practical importance to education. This section collection opens a lot of research issues such as practical assessment, designing assessment for learning, assessment as learning and assessment of learning, developing assessment issues, applying digital media to assessment and testing innovation, educational assessment policy and practice, developing new educational assessment theories, etc.

 

The main objective of this section is to play a leading role in establishing educational assessment and testing, which contribute to improving the quality of preschool education, K12 education and higher education. Assessment and testing welcomes research-based, reflective or theoretical studies and empirical studies, which help to illuminate the practice of assessment and testing in education, to provide significant developments within the field, with a view to the sharing and extension of evaluated, innovative practice and the development of ideas. Therefore, the goal of the section is to publish research or review articles that contribute new knowledge and encourage innovation in the areas of (but not limited to): the development of practical or theoretical assessment, designing assessment tools, new approaches to the assessment of student achievement, assessment and testing models/forms, digital assessment literacy enhancing competence of educational assessment and testing, formative assessment practices, summative assessment, classroom assessment standards, etc.
