Special Issue Information

This special issue focuses on the dynamic response and damage evolution mechanisms of concrete materials under extreme environmental conditions. These materials undergo critical mechanical interactions during exposure to cryogenic temperatures, cyclic loading, dynamic impact events, and fatigue stress cycles. The processes involve progressive microstructural damage, crack nucleation and propagation, and failure pattern development. A study of these phenomena integrates materials science, mechanical engineering, and geotechnical disciplines through innovative applications of acoustic emission monitoring, dynamic testing protocols, and multi-scale computational modeling. This special issue is dedicated to interdisciplinary investigations in the critical field of engineering materials field.
