Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

Acoustic and vibration engineering play a crucial role in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, civil engineering, healthcare, and manufacturing. With rapid advancements in computational modeling, materials science, and experimental techniques, the field continues to evolve, addressing challenges related to noise reduction, structural integrity, and wave propagation control. This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to share recent developments in the theory, analysis, and applications of acoustic and vibration engineering.

The issue will cover theoretical advancements in wave propagation, structural dynamics, and vibro-acoustic interactions. Researchers are invited to submit studies on novel analytical models, numerical simulations, and experimental techniques that enhance our understanding of acoustic and vibration phenomena. Topics such as signal processing, modal analysis, and uncertainty quantification in vibration systems are of particular interest.

The application aspect of this Special Issue will focus on innovative solutions for real-world problems, including noise and vibration control strategies in transportation systems, industrial machinery, and smart structures. Emerging technologies such as metamaterials, active noise cancellation, and machine learning-based diagnostics will be explored. Contributions addressing sustainability and energy-efficient approaches in acoustic and vibration management are highly encouraged.

The Special Issue welcomes interdisciplinary research that integrates acoustics and vibration with artificial intelligence, robotics, and biomedical engineering. Studies on human perception of noise, environmental acoustics, and structural health monitoring will also be considered.

By bringing together state-of-the-art research in this field, this Special Issue aims to foster collaboration and inspire new innovations in acoustic and vibration engineering. We invite researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to contribute original research articles, reviews, and case studies that advance the scientific and practical knowledge in this domain.
