Toxicology is a field dedicated to understanding the detrimental impacts of external factors on biological systems. For individual organisms, harnessing the power of autoimmunity represents the safest and most effective means to combat the adverse effects of foreign chemicals. Indeed, health issues that extend beyond the realm of purely genetic determinants fall within the purview of exposomics—the study of how biological systems are compromised by exogenous harmful agents. Thus, the disciplines of exposomics, toxicology, and immunology are inextricably intertwined.

In our inaugural issue, we are privileged to feature a comprehensive review by Dr. Shampa Chakraborty from Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, and esteemed scholars from King George's Medical University. They have meticulously synthesized and analyzed the latest advancements in exposomics and immunotoxicology for our readership.
