The 3rd China Conference on Safety, Emergency Science, Technology and Equipment Successfully Concludes in Ganzhou

 

The 3rd China Conference on Safety, Emergency Science, Technology and Equipment was successfully held in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, from May 22 to 24, 2026. The conference was co-organized by a distinguished consortium of academic institutions, including Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Shenyang Ligong University, China University of Mining and Technology, Northeastern University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, South China University of Technology, Anhui University of Science & Technology, Liaoning Technical University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Dalian University of Technology, Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, China Three Gorges University, Wuhan University of Technology, Nanjing Tech University, China University of Petroleum (East China), and Xi’an University of Science and Technology.

The conference was jointly organized by the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Shenyang Ligong University, the School of Public Safety and Emergency Management at Kunming University of Science and Technology, the Safety Science and Engineering College at Liaoning Technical University, the School of Safety Science and Engineering at Changzhou University, the School of Safety Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology, and the School of Safety and Emergency Management at Inner Mongolia University of Science & Technology, the School of Mechatronics Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology, the Institute of Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering at China University of Mining & Technology-Beijing, the College of Safety and Emergency Management and Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology, the College of Civil Engineering & Architecture at China Three Gorges University, the College of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering at China Three Gorges University, the Institute for Disaster Management and Reconstruction at Sichuan University–The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the School of Safety and Management Engineering at Hunan Institute of Technology, the Greater Bay Area International Institute for Smart Emergency Response and Safety Development at Jinan University, Hunan University of Science and Technology, Gannan University of Science and Technology, and Northeast University Press.

The event was held in collaboration with the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory for Safe and Efficient Mining of Rare Metal Resources, the Specialized Committee on Open-Pit Mining and Slope Engineering of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, the Jiangxi Society for Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering, and the School of Resources and Civil Engineering at Gannan University of Science and Technology, and Northern Engineering&Technology Corporation, MCC, with academic support provided by the journals Sound & Vibration and Advances in Differential Equations and Control Processes from Academic Publishing.

 

The conference convened nearly 200 experts and scholars. Key attendees included Vice President Dong Bingyan from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Vice President He Jinlong from Gannan University of Science and Technology, Professor Wang Laigui from Liaoning Technical University, Professor Cui Tiejun from Shenyang Ligong University, who also serves as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Differential Equations and Control Processes, Professor Lu Wengang from Jinan University, Professor Xiao Peng from Xi’an University of Science and Technology, Professor Zuo Qingjun from China Three Gorges University, Professor Zhang Fuqun from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, and Professor Peng Pin from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.

The opening ceremony, presided over by Professor Peng Pin, featured inaugural addresses by Vice Presidents Dong Bingyan and He Jinlong. A formal awards ceremony was also conducted to honor outstanding enterprises, exceptional individuals, teams, and distinguished research works within the field.

The event addressed critical frontiers in the industry, including mine safety, geological disaster prevention and control, emergency rescue technology, intelligent monitoring and early warning systems, and the R&D of specialized emergency equipment. Discussions focused on theoretical innovations in safety science, breakthroughs in key technologies, and the practical application of research outcomes in resource extraction and urban public safety.

Through keynote speeches, thematic workshops, and technical exhibitions, the conference facilitated a robust, multi-dimensional dialogue, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial application.
