Dear colleagues,
In recent years, advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), acoustics, and vibration analysis have opened new frontiers in intelligent manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and quality control. This Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) are transforming the fields of acoustics and vibration analysis, driving significant improvements in industrial manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and quality assurance. This Special Issue focuses on the convergence of AI with sound and vibration technologies to tackle complex challenges in advanced modeling, defect detection, and process optimization.
Contributions that explore how machine learning and deep learning models enhance acoustic pattern recognition, vibration-based fault detection, and real-time process monitoring are especially welcome. The aim of this Special Issue is to present cutting-edge research that leverages AI to extract actionable insights from acoustic and vibration data, improving efficiency, reliability, and precision in manufacturing processes. We invite researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to explore innovative techniques where machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision intersect with acoustic and vibration-based methods.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, AI-based detection and classification, acoustic based recognition, vibration monitoring, and advanced simulation models etc. With the growing demand for precision and efficiency, acoustic and vibration technologies—enhanced by AI—are becoming indispensable for modern industries. This Special Issue also seeks contributions on applications in ultrasonic for intelligent manufacturing processes where sound and vibration play a critical role in ensuring product quality and system reliability. Aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and present groundbreaking solutions that leverage acoustics, vibration, and AI for advanced modeling This call for papers seeks submissions from researchers, engineers, and industry experts offering new frameworks, theoretical advancements, or practical case studies. Topics include applications of AI and ML in ultrasonic inspection, vibration modeling, and acoustic simulations, as well as novel approaches to real-time sensing for intelligent manufacturing and predictive maintenance.
