Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

When flow-induced noise levels have to be reduced in an aerospace, mechanical or environmental context, efficient passive or active countermeasures such as silencers, acoustic panels, heavy duty soundproofing, or enclosures can be developed. The special issue aims to present the latest development and progress in physical modeling, numerical simulation, and measurement technology as well as practical applications in aeroacoustic noise reduction.

Contributions across a wide spectrum of topics are encouraged, including but not limited to:

· Fundamental aspects of aeroacoustics

· Noise source localization and analysis

· Noise absorption and mitigation in aeroacoustics

· Fluid–Solid–Acoustic interactions including flow induced and vibrational noise

· Aeroacoustic metamaterials

As this topic encompasses multidisciplinary areas, research on the coupling between structural vibration, noise, and fluids is also welcomed.
