Focus and Scope

Biomimetic Materials for Energy Systems (BMES) will focus on bioinspired materials for energy conversion, harvesting and storage. It is intended to attract submissions focusing on biomimetic catalyst development, nature-inspired energy systems, self-healing batteries, fuel cell membrane, supercapacitors and others. The journal targets to fill the gaps in sustainable energy systems through biomimetic materials, and to evaluate the environmental impacts of these materials utilization though life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis.

The scope of CBiomimetic Materials for Energy Systems encompasses a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

1. Bioinspired materials for energy storage.
2. Biomimetic catalysts for energy conversion.
3. Nature-inspired solar energy systems.
4. Self-healing materials for batteries.
5. Bio-based energy harvesting materials.
6. Biomimetic membranes for fuel cells.
7. Bioinspired supercapacitor materials.
8. Bioinspired coatings for energy devices.
