SECTION COLLECTION INFORMATION

“Growth, Resources, and Environment” are pivotal topics within the field of economic studies. The latter, in fact, explore the intricate relationship between economic growth, the allocation and utilization of resources, and their impact on the environment. This multifaceted field of research is of paramount importance in today's world, as it addresses the urgent need to strike a balance between economic development and environmental sustainability.

Nowadays, growth is a fundamental objective for many countries that encompasses the analysis of economic dynamics, investments, and monetary policies. However, growth can lead to resource depletion, pollution, and environmental degradation if not carefully managed. For this reasons, resource allocation and utilization play a crucial role. Particular attention should be paid to the extraction, distribution and use of the resources, like water, energy, and raw materials, in order to prevent negative externalities such, the climate change, deforestation, air and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. In fact, since the inefficiencies in the use of resources can lead to overexploitation and ecological deficit, their efficient use becomes essential for a sustainable growth and development.

Submissions to this journal collection will provide a strong contribution in developing new economic and

investment strategies, and adopting policies which ensure both economic prosperity and environmental

preservation. The collection will welcome research articles, review articles and perspectives, serving as a

valuable reference for academics, decision-makers, and professionals who seeks a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between economic growth, resource allocation, and environmental sustainability.
