We are honored to welcome Dr. MohammadReza Modarres (University of Coimbra, Portugal) as the new Editor-in-Chief of Public Safety and Emergency Management.
Dr. MohammadReza Modarres is a dedicated researcher specializing in fire science, wildland-urban interface fires, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Throughout his academic journey, Dr. MohammadReza Modarres has applied cutting-edge methods in CFD simulations and fire dynamics to understand complex fire behaviors, with a focus on improving fire risk assessment and safety strategies.
Dr. MohammadReza Modarres is a pioneer in developing and applying new approaches in:
- Fire Dynamics Simulation (FDS & WFDS)
- Experimental Fire Dynamics and Flammability Analysis of Forest Species
- Numerical Combustion Modeling & Heat Transfer
- Firebrand Transport and Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Fires
His work continues to advance the understanding of fire behavior in both experimental and computational settings, aiming to enhance disaster management and public safety.
