This special issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for the intersection of linguistics and language teaching, with the overarching goal of advancing both theoretical understanding and practical applications. We seek to explore innovative approaches and best practices that bridge the gap between linguistic theories and language pedagogy. Specifically, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of how applied linguistic theories can inform and enhance language teaching methodologies, investigate the integration and impact of technology in language education, navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by multilingualism, unravel the sociolinguistic dimensions influencing language teaching practices, and showcase and evaluate innovative pedagogical approaches grounded in linguistic insights.
