Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for a special issue of our journal focused on Translation Studies. We welcome original research articles, review papers, and perspectives on the different fields of Translation Studies, including but not limited to the following:
Literary Translation: This field focuses on the translation of literary texts, including novels, poetry, and drama. Papers in this field may address issues such as the role of the translator, the impact of translation on the source and target cultures, and the challenges of translating literary texts.
Legal Translation: This field focuses on the translation of legal documents, including contracts, treaties, and court proceedings. Papers in this field may address issues such as the challenges of translating legal terminology, the role of the translator in legal settings, and the impact of translation on legal systems.
Medical Translation: This field focuses on the translation of medical texts, including clinical trial reports, patient information leaflets, and medical journals. Papers in this field may address issues such as the challenges of translating medical terminology, the role of the translator in medical contexts, and the impact of translation on medical research.
Audiovisual Translation: This field focuses on the translation of audiovisual content, including films, television shows, and video games. Papers in this field may address issues such as the challenges of translating dialogue and cultural references, the role of the translator in the production of audiovisual content, and the impact of translation on the reception of audiovisual content.
Technical Translation: This field focuses on the translation of technical documents, including user manuals, scientific reports, and engineering specifications. Papers in this field may address issues such as the challenges of translating technical terminology, the role of the translator in technical contexts, and the impact of translation on technical communication.
Submissions should follow the journal's guidelines for style and formatting, which can be found on the journal's website. All manuscripts will be subjected to a rigorous peer-review process, and those accepted will be published in this special issue.
