Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Good Language Learners Studies try to identify successful learners’ characteristics and factors affecting language acquisition. Many of these factors and characteristics are categorized under individual differences which may differ from one context or culture to the other one. Even they may differ from one learner to another learner.

Therefore, this topic research aims to find out why some people outperform others in learning a foreign or second language, so we would like to show the effective individual differences in second language acquisition. On the other hand, teachers and instructors may face different learning outcomes in a single class due to the differences between their students. We are seeking studies conducted in different contexts and cultures to identify the individual differences which significantly affect the learning outcome.

We welcome submissions of manuscripts dealing with (but not limited to):

- language aptitude

- learning and teaching styles

- personality traits

- gender differences

- affective factors

- culture-bound factors which affect performance

- first language impact,

- Intelligence

- self-efficacy

- epistemological beliefs

- Procrastination

We look forward to receiving your contributions!
